A landmark event is being planned for October 22nd to 24th, 2010 in London, Ontario, Canada. National mental health conference, Thriving in 2010 and Beyond, aims to define our roles, explore control, design the whole.
This national conference hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) will bring together from across the country:
- People who have lived experience with mental illness
- Their family members and friends
- Service providers
- Front line care workers
- Academics and researchers
- Policy makers from across the country
Thriving in 2010 and Beyond will closely explore the concept of "Thriving". What does it mean to be a person with a mental illness, a survivor or a thriver? And how can successes be replicated within the mental healthcare system?
As a part of this milestone event, CMHA wants to hear from you via their YouTube Contest. It’s simple, it’s fun, plus you can WIN one of two great prizes 1) A Conference Pass for Thriving in 2010 or 2) an iPod Touch.
Here’s how to enter -- visit the Thriving2010 YouTube Channel and upload a video response to the Intro Video (special thanks to Alicia Sarah Raimundo and friends for taking the time to make this) completing an answer to, "What does THRIVING mean to you?" or "What was your THRIVING moment?"
