Dear Friends, 

Hospice of London is excited to be hosting our first ever Teen 2 Teen Bereavement Day on Thursday November 24, 2011 at Spencer Lodge, 531 Windermere Rd in London.

This program will provide peer support and guidance to teenagers in London who have experienced the death of a significant person in their lives, including a family member or friend. The day will be facilitated by trained Hospice volunteers who have extensive experience working with bereaved teens.

Teens who attend the Teen 2 Teen retreat will learn coping strategies for their grief through facilitated teen centered activities. Strategies will be offered to help teens work through their own emotions, while providing an opportunity for peer support.  

Referrals may be made by anyone, including teachers, family members, health care professionals, clergy, friends or neighbours. Registration is required and can be done online at www.hospiceoflondon.com. There is no fee for services, and participants can request a free round trip bus ticket should they require transportation. A light breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served during the day.
