Got Personality?

E-mail Print PDF

If you're anything like me, you'll LOVE taking these fun personality tests and learning or confirming what you already know to be true about yourself (for me, it's that I pretty much invented cool and that everyone wants to be just like me, true story!). They're actually surprisingly accurate and not just by my standards, but are also considered very valid and reliable by psychologists as well. Of course, these are the web versions of the tests, which differ somewhat from the kinds you have to pay big bucks for, but they are still pretty precise and impressive!

The BIG FIVE Personality Test - this one measures five major aspects of your personality - Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism. This last one refers to how high or low your emotional stability is. You can rate yourself, or rate someone else that's close to you, or rate both of you at the same time and then compare how your personalities differ or are similar to each other.  I rated my mother, my sister and my ex and it was pretty obvious to see why my sister is the only one I get along with out of the bunch...lol. Sometimes personalities just clash I guess...especially if you're mostly on opposite ends of the spectrum.

The Jung-Myers-Briggs Typology Test - k, this one is super accurate too! You will basically end up being one of 16 types of personalities (or typologies, la di da!). What you do once you have your score and read up about it on this site, is punch it in to Google and read what other sites have to say about your type. What's cool about it, is it not only tells you about the positive side of yourself, but tells you how you react to stress and other situations too. I'm an ENFP (which, again, means that my grandma throws down harder than yours...don't ask me what that means, it just sounded good lol). Anyways, share your type if you want!!!
