26 people in 2010 and 7 people in 2011. That is 33 people in two years  that have killed themselves by jumping in front of the subway  in Toronto. That’s 33 too many.

In a recent attempt at trying to stop these tragic events from  occurring, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has unveiled their new plan known as “Crisis Link.” Which features posters and a button added  to payphones which would link directly to a crisis counselor to help someone get help if they are contemplating suicide.

This is a very commendable idea by the TTC, rather than hoping that someone would change their mind about committing suicide, they are making resources readily available just before they could go that far.

The TTC is acting as a sort of “guardian angel” for people, imposing divine intervention on those that need help the most in the moment.

So thank you TTC, hopefully we can replace that 33 with a 0 in the next  couple years.
