Symmetry Sucks!

E-mail Print PDF
The Nissan Cube is set to launch in Europe and I came across their print and outdoor campaign which challenges people’s view on symmetry. Having a symmetrical face and body is considered desirable in today’s society, yet Nissan Cube’s print campaign takes that notion and turns it on its head.

The ad campaign consists of three models, where they depict one half of their bust and then have it perfectly mirrored. The result is actually a very goofy-looking face. The slogan then reads, “Symmetry sucks. Humans aren’t symmetrical why should their cars be?”

Personally, I think it a very effectively done campaign...Would it be well receive in Canada or the US, I’m not too sure.  But kudos to the Ad Company and Nissan for targeting people with an appeal for design.

What do you think of this campaign?
