Over the last year and a half we have witnessed the social-messaging service Twitter boom to the forefront of pop-culture, largely fuelled by the increased sale of Smartphone’s and the appeal of quickly posting self-serving blasts of 140 characters to anyone who might be following you.

Naturally, dozens of technologically-savvy celebrities jumped on this bandwagon with a fury, posting their personal (and sometimes intimate) messages and photos for all to freely consume.

TwitPic has been one of the big success stories for a service built solely on top of Twitter. It possess over a million users and gets around 2.5 million unique visitors a month to its site. Celebrities on Twitter have been using it, and it has made headlines around the world.   That being said, today I quickly, searched through some celeb tweetpics and came across these I wanted to share with you:

Paris Hilton casually tweeted a picture of herself posing in the aisle of a private plan as she boarded a flight from Madrid to Cannes Thursday for the international film festival.   Her multi-tweet photographic account of her trip even included outfit changes, from a sundress and sunglasses one minute to sweatpants, a sweatshirt and a different pair of sunglasses the next. The spur of the moment photo shoot ended with her summing up everything for us with: "taking off to Cannes in style”.

Since Conan O’Brien left NBC a while back and began touring around the country, he has formed a compelling self-portrait through pictures on Twitter. "I no longer have health care," he tweeted a few months ago, with a picture of a large mole (and a tape measure) on his body. "Could someone show this to a dermatologist and get back to me?" He's grown a full beard, and, this week, tweeted: "On my bunk in the Tour Bus, eating Doritos and watching Team America. Me happy."

Before her big spot on Saturday Night Live, Betty White visited many coaches on several shows. And there's nothing quite like money shot of White in hair and makeup, as tweeted by Larry King

Ryan Seacrest might not be a robot after all: behind the sharp suits and the hair gel he sports on American Idol, there is a guy in a dorky hat making a Caesar salad with his mom. “Happy mother’s day to all the moms especially mine, Connie xo,” Seacrest tweeted
