This is a poem by Erin
I have a hope for a better world; a paradise.
Where I can just lose myself to thoughts so haunting.
Caused by their endless taunting.
And if there was a time for that place.
I wish for it to right now, show me it’s face.
For I am lost among the many creatures.
That breath, hate, love, and hurt.
What I wish to be could never really be me.
Yet I have hope for a better world; a paradise.
Where people greet one another with a smile so sweet.
And all the birds wake the sleeping with a gentle tweet.
Where we don’t have to kill.
To show others our will.
I want to show them my will to live.
Not my hate for the strangers I pass on the street.
I have a hope for a better world; a paradise.
Where I don’t have to want anything.
Because everything has already been filled.
I don’t want guns or bombs to crush the lives that haven’t even begun.
I have a dream of a better world; a paradise.
It’s my wish.
But for now I’ll toss a penny in a dish.
And hold my paradise close to my heart.
I have a hope for a better world; a paradise.
Where family and lovers aren’t torn apart.
