For the past couple of weeks the mindyourmind.ca Street Team mostly focused on strategies on how to help a friend. It doesn’t matter what the situation is or what they’re asking about, as long as your friend knows that you are there for them is what counts.
We plan to add this to the mindyourmind.ca website, and hopefully people will benefit from it. Two meetings ago, after discussing our own opinions about different ways to help a friend, we decided to REACH OUT even more. We discovered the different ways that girls reach out to their friends compared to guys. We ventured to the outdoors and interviewed random people off the street. We asked them if they had helped a friend today and how. It was really exciting and we were able to experience how difficult it actually is to approach random strangers without being shot down. All of our hard work including our own personal stories about helping a friend as well as those strangers’ were filmed and will be posted on the mindyourmind.ca website soon. So go check it out!
Then on the most recent tuesday, we brainstormed ideas on a new REACH OUT game, for the website, since the current one seems a little outdated. We decided on a newer more modern look and even altered some of the categories and questions. This actually helps the game since they include more recent news and things that today’s youth would know about. Some other parts of the new REACH OUT game are more similar to the Jeopardy game on tv. Including movie/music clips and automatic choosing of the category. Hopefully you will enjoy the new version, which should be available on the site in the next few months.
In other news, if you guys pay close attention the mindyourmind.ca poll, there was a question a couple of weeks ago that asked which was your favourite band and I just wanted to let you guys know that The Spill Canvas ALMOST made it. However Billy Talent made it to the top, unfortunately. HAHA And i just wanted to say thank you to all those Spill Canvas supporters out there. Indie and unknown bands need to get out there some how and your support defitinitely helps. Check out this weeks poll at www.mindyourmind.ca
Thanks
