Here is a very ROUGH idea :)
Script:
Act I
(2 roommates in their dorm/apartment)
RM1: Hey man, where you going?
RM2: Oh, I'm having really bad stomach pains so I made an appointment with the doc
RM1: Oh true, well I hope you get better man
Act II
(2 roommates in their dorm/apartment)
RM1: Hey man, where you going?
RM2: Oh, I'm feeling really stressed lately so I made an appointment with the doc
RM1: Oh true, but do you really need to go see someone for that?
Act III
(2 roommates in their dorm/apartment)
RM1: Hey man, where you going?
[RM2's Thoughts]: Oh, I'm feeling really stressed lately so I made an appointment with the doc
RM2: Uhh, just going to the library to do some homework
RM1: Oh true, well have fun man
To try to break the stigma I feel it is important to ask questions that uncover the factors and emotions that contribute to the stigma.
My idea to tackle this is to compare a physical health appointment to a mental health appointment and the various outcomes of the conversation.
