The Get Real meeting of Monday was rewarding; We were able to see the fruit of our labour, and I know we all thoroughly enjoyed having a finished product we could look at and say that we 100% believe in its success. We were also pleasantly surprised with the fact that A-Channel felt the quality was so good that they then forwarded our PSA to CTV for possible national viewing. We were all extremely excited with the prospect of having the opportunity to help more people, and what better way than with national coverage; After all everyone deserves to have a real conversation.
We also discussed possible local connections with the various group members, and came up with a diverse selection of newspapers and other possible media to broaden the PSA's exposure in order to reach as many people as possible. Then we talked about how we want a media release to look, for example the main points, possible context, taglines, wording and also what we want to focus on within all aspects of both the posters and the PSA. It was a shorter meeting than usual as we were mostly reviewing content and the website and exchanging ideas about where we did well and where improvement is possible. We have absolute confidence that we will affect many, but our work will not be in vain if we even affect one single person, in even the smallest of ways.
