Good Formats, Great Format and “Ewww what were they thinking” formats

Hey Project FYI crew (and anyone else who is interested in giving input)!

We’ve been having a great discussion online about Jaxson’s Ontario Secondary School survey.  I believe Jaxson has enough feedback to move forward and include a question or two that may be helpful for our work.

Just would like to redirect everyone back to homework!  At our first meeting, we had asked you to search the web for great plain language format examples like this one  http://mindyourmind.ca/about-mym/program-evaluation and this one http://www.excellenceforchildandyouth.ca/sites/default/files/docs/psychotropics_focus_on_the_facts.pdf , and not so great format examples.  This discussion will help us sort out how we are going to share the research findings from our project.

Right now we have three researchers conducting focus groups with youth across the country asking them a series of questions.

In July those researchers will summarize the answers and present them back to us in a research summary.

Our task will then be to interpret that research summary into plain language so that we can then share that information with youth all across the country.

What we have to do is figure out how we want to share that info…in a video…in an art piece…in a web platform…in a dance…whatever we decide!

So lets start talking about good and not so good examples below!

Start sharing!
