Psychosis is a scary word but with information and help, it can be treated. So start here by getting informed. You can use the table of contents on the right to help you navigate through the facts, symptoms and more.

Check for signs with this checklist package

In addition to the resources above, use these checklists to help you assess what you may be experiencing. Keep in mind that these checklists are NOT a way for you to self diagnose. If you are concerned that you may be experiencing psychosis, you should see a doctor who can properly diagnose and provide you with treatment options.

The materials in the Checklist Package were created with the help of:

Lori Hassall, MSW, RSW Team Leader and Outreach Coordinator of the Prevention and Early Intervention Program for Psychosis (PEPP), London Health Sciences Centre

Stephen Hendriks BACJ, MSW Early Psychosis Intervention Program (Lynx), Haliburton Highlands Mental Health Service

You can fill out the checklists and take them with you to show your doctor and discuss what may be going on. This can be a scary process, so to make it easier, once you're done looking through this section, you can click here for information and tips on how to prepare for your visit with your doctor, counsellor or therapist.
