No. mindyourmind is a place where you can find mental health information, ways to get help for yourself or a friend, stories from other young people or celebrities about struggles and triumphs, resources and tools to help you get through tough times. It is not intended to take the place of professional counseling or treatment.

Here are some ways that young people volunteer at mindyourmind:

Participate in online or in person street teams, anti-stigma teams or youth development teams. Look out for these opportunities several times per year in our Announcements section or on our facebook, twitter profiles. These teams help us to create most of our tools, mental health promotional materials and more. To see what these teams have done in the past, check out Youth Crews.

Write interview questions for upcoming interviews with celebrities.

Depending on your location, do interviews live / in person, on the phone or email.

Write book reviews and interview authors.

Participate in online or in person focus groups to provide us your feedback on new materials.

Promote mindyourmind or mental health awareness in your school or community. See Your School section for more information.

Submit your artwork, stories, poetry, writing, music, films, blogs or other content to share what helps you cope or deal with mental health issues with other young people. These submissions help and inspire other visitors in positive ways.
