Add A Little Kindness Lyrics by Sara Westbrook (May 2007)

E-mail Print PDF

Trapped, scared, misunderstood
Alone, fragile, never any good
Simple words that hold a lot of meaning
Lately they’ve become much stronger feelings.

Jump on the eastbound train
I’m alone again
Haven’t felt a smile on this face
Since God knows when.
Shadows, my only friends
Fade away
And the sun sets on another dull dark day.

Chorus
Is it too much to ask
Add a little kindness?
You don’t know what I ‘m going through.
We’ve all been alone
All been scared.
Maybe it’s what binds us to each other.
Hear my cry.

My head is down
The pavement’s wet
I analyze it everyday
The little bit of faith I have is slipping away
I try to run
I try to hide
But nothing fills this hollow inside
Or quiets the voices ringing in my head.

Chorus

Bridge

Throughout our lifetime
We all experience
Moments of frustration
You’re not alone

Chorus 1 ½ x
