The "It's My Turn" movement is a non-profit venture founded in February of 2012 by Mark Andrew Alward in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. The purpose of this video movement is to give those of us who live with mental illness an opportunity to tell their stories, to know that we are NOT alone, and to reduce the shame or stigma surrounding mental illness. Supporters of those of us who live with mental illness are also encouraged to share videos. This is NOT a supplement for professional help. IF YOU ARE AT RISK OF SUICIDE, IMMEDIATELY CALL 911 OR GO TO YOUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. YOU ARE WORTH IT!

Here is a video of mindyourmind volunteer Alicia, making her contribution to the It’s My TurnMovement. Alicia says, "I recently had the opportunity to join the its my turn now movement. I would like to share my video and experience with you all in hopes that others will start speaking".
