“Feeling sadness is not a crime,
although the world might wish you think so,
It’s only human and at times it is the only thing
that makes you feel connected.”

“I don’t cry because I am too weak,
I cry because I’ve been strong for too long.”

I love distance. It’s all I have ever known.
Never abandoned physically,
always neglected emotionally.
But that’s okay I have distance.
Distance is not just a physical measurement,
or a barrier; it’s power, it’s healing, it’s lovely
solitude and it is so very
necessary.
It’s strange when family that are so “close to you”,
hardly know the real you.
And sometimes family that are so far from you somehow understand
the real you when they hardly know you at all.
Blissful distant love.
The family you need gives you wise advice
by reading your soul, listening to your words.
That true, unwavering love;
is when a person cannot hide their true feelings from you,
even if they tried so so hard to brush it away
for fear of the uneasiness it may cause.
But when the truth comes out, you have never
felt so close to that person,
someone can say; “This is awful but the feeling will pass”
and or
“I know how much it must hurt,”
or just simply “you don’t have to
to be so hard on yourself, I am here for you.”
At the end of the day no matter how far or near,
If the people you love cannot see that being tough
on yourself, or being overly critical in nature,
is exactly that, nature.
They will never fully understand you,
nor should they have to put up with you.
A heartfelt reminder, “don’t be so hard on yourself,”
is all that needs to be said. Then life moves on, “reality”
is in check.
Blissful distant love.
It will always be there, the frustration, the tears,
and at times the physical aching pain in your heart,
the only support or advice,
one can say – let up on yourself, just a little.
For me loving anything I do, or whom, in any case,
if you love too hard, too fast, too quick, it will end up making
me sick. Blissful distance love can be the remedy.
It’s that comforting feeling when a person
you love can sit beside you and
do whatever it is they enjoy in the peacefulness
of your presence knowing that you are thriving
and loving yourself in that moment.
Or there is no one there, and you are,
quietly, lovingly, blissfully distant.
