The 12 Days of mindyourmind: Day 8 - Illnesses Pages
The 12 Days of mindyourmind blog series seeks to highlight the ways in which you can use the tools we’ve created with the youth you work with. We know that it can be difficult to think of new ideas, so we’ve compiled some of our best resources and interesting ways to use them.
Our Illnesses Section is a great place to find easy to read youth-friendly information about mental illness, or related issues such as self-harm! From anxiety to bipolar, post traumatic stress to grief; you can find a variety of up to date and accurate information on various diagnoses and related issues. Each illness page also includes myth-busting, a break down of signs and symptoms, tips for supporting someone with the illness, links to other related content on our site, and more! These pages are not meant to replace medical advice but do provide insight for you and the people you care about. If you are a professional, these pages can be an asset for any work you do with youth. Whether it’s life skills, a personal project, or providing support and therapeutic conversation while researching mental illness, these pages are an essential stop on the mindyourmind tour!
We hope this has given you some inspiration. If you have any different ideas or interesting ways you’ve used our tools, we’d love to hear about it. Stay tuned for our next installment of The 12 Days of mindyourmind, dropping tomorrow!
