12 Days of Resources: #8 Eating Disorder Helpline

Holidays often revolve around eating and food, and this can cause a lot of stress for those with eating disorders - in recovery or not. Therefore as part of our 12 Days of Resources blog series we are highlighting the National Eating Disorder Information Centre.
NEDIC provides information on treatment options and/or support to people across Canada either directly or indirectly affected by eating disorders, disordered eating and related concerns.
This line is also open to anyone who has questions about how to best support someone with an eating disorder. The National Eating Disorder Information Centre helpline provides information, support and referrals through trained support workers.
The hotline operates from 9am to 9pm Monday to Friday and can be reached by calling 1-866-NEDIC-20 (1-866-633-4220).
If you need support outside of these operating hours here are some distress lines you can call 24 hrs a day.
