Coping with Grief and Loss

We were deeply saddened to hear about the Humboldt Broncos crash last week and our hearts go out to everyone affected. We understand that dealing with grief can be overwhelming especially since death and grieving are not often discussed in our society. We decided to compile some helpful resources to guide you through this difficult process. Make sure to take care of yourself, be kind to yourself and reach out if you need additional support.

What’s Your Grief?” website was created by two mental health professionals who experienced their own losses and couldn’t find the type of support they wanted, so they created their own resource. This website includes podcasts, blogs, a free e-course to help you deal with holidays and anniversaries and an opportunity to submit your own story.

Hello Grief” website was created by Comfort Zone Camp, a non-profit that supports anyone aged 5-25 who has experienced a loss. This page has an extensive listing of helpful articles about a wide range of topics related to grief.

This article provides you with an idea of what to expect throughout your grieving journey

Reach Out is a youth mental health foundation out of Australia that also operates in Ireland. They have a lot of information about grieving as well as many other mental health resources.

More info about grief can be found on Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and The Canadian Mental Health Association sites.
