Feel Good Friday: Apple Music
This past week I was exploring the paid version of Apple Music on my phone and came across the radio section. In the section I came across a custom radio station called Simran’s Station, being the curious person that I am I thought I’d give it a shot.
I was wonderfully surprised and extremely nostalgic as songs I loved listening to growing up started to play. The way it works is that Apple takes music on your current playlist and generates a list of songs that cater to you. Though it is generated based on the songs you listen to, the curation of it is so unique and individualistic that it seems like a coincidence that these songs that I haven’t listened to since middle school come up.
Music is a powerful tool that can invoke a lot of emotions and at the same time be extremely therapeutic. It is a tool I use often to help me regulate my emotions. I thought I’d share this positive experience in case you’d also like to give your personalised radio station on the paid version of Apple Music a shot.
The idea of Feel Good Fridays started because we believe the simple things that bring a smile to our face are the best things. Smiling and laughing has been proven to reduce stress in our lives! When we smile or laugh it releases neurotransmitters in our brain called endorphins, which are in charge of making us happy and helping to relieve stress.
Remember to check back for our next Feel Good Friday!
