Feel Good Friday: Art is for Everyone
Art is so important; it allows us to gain perspective, it gives us a diversion if we are feeling low, it allows us to learn about other people and their culture and beautiful things increase our happiness. Unfortunately it’s not always easy for people to enjoy all forms of art. This is true for people who are visually impaired, as traditionally they haven’t been able to enjoy visual art.
This has changed in Santiago, Chile. Some students from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile wanted to break down barriers that impeded access to arts and culture. In turn they devised an innovative solution so that everyone could enjoy the art pieces. Discover their innovate solution here.
I love this story because it goes to show that nothing is impossible, where there is a will there's a way. When you are struggling do your research and think outside the box. You are bound to find an alternative.
The idea of Feel Good Fridays started because we believe the simple things that bring a smile to our face, are some of the best things. Smiling and laughing has been proven to reduce stress in our lives! When we smile or laugh it releases neurotransmitters in our brain called endorphins, which are in charge of making us happy and helping to relieve stress.
Remember to check back for next week’s Feel Good Friday!
