Feel Good Friday: Dinner with Dad
Summer Clayton could be called TikTok’s father. With over 2 million followers, he uses his channel to have open conversations with his viewers, in particular, those who might not have a father figure in their lives. One of his segments is called, ‘Dinner with Dad’, where he sets down two plates of food in front of the camera and asks you how you’re doing. He also shares practical skills, like ones that fathers often teach their children.
Not only do I love what Summer is doing, but I can empathize with his followers. My dad passed away when I was 18 and because of that I haven’t had a father figure in my adult life to teach me things. I miss that connection I had with my dad and so I am grateful for people like Summer, who love and care for others as if they were their own children.
Through Summer’s videos, he reminds us that we are not alone and that there is always someone looking out for us. How sweet is that?

The idea of Feel Good Fridays started because we believe the simple things that bring a smile to our faces are some of the best things. Smiling and laughing have been proven to reduce stress in our lives! When we smile or laugh it releases neurotransmitters in our brain called endorphins, which are in charge of making us happy and helping to relieve stress.
