Feel Good Friday: “Doing Something Good”

In this addition of Feel Good Friday we want to share 25 year-old Allison Bond’s story. During the pandemic Allison decided to spread kindness by writing letters to strangers. Allison has cerebral palsy which puts her at a higher risk of contracting the virus. Writing letters was a safe way to spread kindness while still keeping herself safe.

As her writing journey has continued she has turned it into what she has called Kindness Through Letters Mission.  Allison writes letters to soldiers, inmates and people across the world in hopes of making their day a bit better. Her drive to write and bring joy comes from what her grandmother told her before passing. Before passing, her grandma asked her to keep doing something good.

It’s amazing how she took something that her grandmother shared with her and created such a great initiative with it. You can learn more about the mission and Allison’s story on Upworthy

Happy Friday!

The idea of Feel Good Fridays started because we believe the simple things that bring a smile to our face are the best things. Smiling and laughing has been proven to reduce stress in our lives! When we smile or laugh it releases neurotransmitters in our brain called endorphins, which are in charge of making us happy and helping to relieve stress.
