Feel Good Friday: A Helpful Nudge
It’s an unwritten rule that nature documentary filmmakers are only supposed to observe the animals in their habitat, never to interfere. Interestingly, the crew of BBC film makers in Antarctica decided to break that rule and to save the lives of some baby penguins. This article outlines their decision making process which is really interesting to learn about.
I like this article because it emphasizes the importance of thinking about your decisions critically. Just because you’re used to doing something the same way doesn’t mean you can’t change it up. The rules that we and other impose on ourselves aren’t right for every situation, sometimes it’s ok to break the rules if it serves a greater purpose. Be bold and get out of your comfort zone!
The idea of Feel Good Fridays started because, we believe the simple things that bring a smile to our face, are some of the best things. Smiling and laughing has been proven to reduce stress in our lives! When we smile or laugh it releases neurotransmitters in our brain called endorphins, which are in charge of making us happy and helping to relieve stress.
