Feel Good Friday: "Reasons my kids are crying” - Ridiculous yet hilarious!
I will admit that sometimes I catch myself getting extremely frustrated at silly things. I promise that I try really hard to stop those emotions in their tracks...mostly when I stub a toe or bump into something or...I could go on but it might get embarrassing.
To my infantile glee, my co-workers introduced me to a wonderful article from Sunny Skys where parents felt free to share pictures of their children’s epic meltdowns. The post includes a picture of a crying child and an explanation of what prompted the meltdown. Explanations like “She dropped a receipt we got a gas station.”, “I wouldn’t let her play with a bag of dog poop” and “I won’t let him eat styrofoam”, etc. There’s even a couple with celebrity meetings! These kids are not happy about those!
It’s silly but so funny because when I’m having a bad moment, I can think of these kids and realize they really are having it worse than us and making us laugh about it!
The idea of Feel Good Fridays started because we believe the simple things that bring a smile to our face, are some of the best things. Smiling and laughing has been proven to reduce stress in our lives! When we smile or laugh it releases neurotransmitters in our brain called endorphins, which are in charge of making us happy and helping to relieve stress.
Remember to check back for next week’s Feel Good Friday!
