Feel Good Friday: Rescuing Senior Dogs

My love for animals started at a young age and most pets are super friendly so my love for them grew into adulthood. I found this story about a young girl, Meena Kumar, who was determined to help senior dogs regardless of the obstacles in her life. Meena was abandoned at birth in India and was raised in an orphanage until she was adopted at age 2. Her family eventually moved to the US and she found out about an organization called Muttville Senior Dog Rescue that gives a second chance at life to senior dogs. Read Teen Abandoned at Birth Now Raises Money to Give Senior Dogs the Love She Found With a Forever Home and find out what Meena did to help this awesome organization even though she was too young to volunteer. She even started her own business, Pet Fairy Services,  to raise money for Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. I’m sure you’ll be impressed with her positive attitude, perseverance and enthusiasm!

“I know what it feels like to be left behind...The dogs may be senior and old, but they’re so friendly and cute. They’re the most gentle and loyal creatures.” ~ Meena Kumar

The idea of Feel Good Fridays started because we believe the simple things that bring a smile to our face, are the best things. Smiling and laughing has been proven to reduce stress in our lives! When we smile or laugh it releases neurotransmitters in our brain called endorphins, which are in charge of making us happy and helping to relieve stress.
