LAC’s Call for Black Artists
Have you heard of or checked out the London Arts Council? If not, take some time to check them out londonarts.ca! London Arts Council works with private and public community partners to build and sustain awareness, involvement, and support for all of the different artistic disciplines in our city! They have programs in education, health, and they also have paid opportunities for artists!
With February around the corner and the importance of Black History Month, the London Arts Council has an awesome opportunity for Black professional artists in London, Ontario! The theme of Black History Month this year is “Canadians of African Descent: Going forward, guided by the past” and was inspired by the United Nations’ International Decade for People of African Descent (2015-2024).
If you’re a local Black artist presenting, exhibiting, or performing for the public in London, Ontario, you can apply! There is up to $1500 to be awarded and it’s an awesome way to connect with an amazing community partner!
