The Refugee Centre in collaboration with The Canadian Red Cross & DevBloc is proud to announce their new online platform AlloCanada!
Born as a response to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic regarding the massive shift from in-person to online, it became apparent to AlloCanda that this had created additional barriers for Canada’s newcomers. The online platform bridges these obstacles in connecting newcomers to resources and services that they may need in their integration and settlement Journeys.
Centralizing resources from Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton & Vancouver; AlloCanada allows for users to search for services ranging from Language Support, Legal Aid, Healthcare, Education, Employment, Housing, LGBTQI+ & General Resources while narrowing a user's search based on location, status and gender. Allowing for users to instantly connect to organizations across Canada that unify their needs.
With so many ways to explore AlloCanada, including an interactive chatbot, a map displaying available resources near the user & the option to make an account and bookmark services for future reference, AlloCanada simplifies the navigation in finding continued support within a Community.
With AlloCanada's main goal being to support newcomers in accessing these resources, AlloCanada continuously welcomes the submission of new organizations and services into its database that feel that they would like to be a part of this community support. Please submit at Join AlloCanada.
