mindyourmind: An Overview and Evaluation of a Web-Facilitated Mental Health Program that Applies Empowerment Strategies for Youth – 2016

Many Canadian youth suffering from mental health issues do not access necessary services. There is a need for more evaluation of existing programs that promote access. mindyourmind is a web-facilitated community mental health program with a Web site developed to improve access to services for youth dealing with mental health issues. This Journal of Consumer Health On the Internet article provides an in-depth description of youth engagement strategies used by mindyourmind and the results of a preliminary evaluation to determine the characteristics and usage patterns of Web site users and impacts on help-seeking behaviour.
