We Podcast NOW!
Our summer student, Chelsey has been working on a secret project for the past 3 months… Podcasting! That’s right mindyourmind has entered the podcasting world. In our first season we will be throwing it back to our past interviews with amazing musicians and bands! This season will feature two different types of episodes, some will feature one artist and others will feature a common question with lots of artist weighing in!
We decided to create podcasts, so that we can creatively reuse some of our past interviews that may have been forgotten and remind our followers about how interesting they are! There will be episodes that cover many elements of mental health, such as how artist/bands cope with the stress of touring, what the greatest advice they’ve ever received was and what their advice is to today’s youth.
What are podcasts and why you should be listening to them? The podcasting world has been expanding since 2004 and it hasn’t stopped since. Back when podcasting started it was hard to easily access them, but with the great technological advances we have had over the past 13 years streaming and listening to podcasts has become easy. With the newfound ease of accessing and creating podcasts there has been a huge boom in the podcasting world. Podcasts are typically between 15 and 45 minutes and they cover a wide range of topics from astronomy to psychology and anything in between. There are a variety of places that podcast are hosted such as independent websites, iTunes, SoundCloud and YouTube, and most series allow for you to download them and listen to them when you don’t have access to the internet (like when you’re on the bus).
Our podcast is titled: mindyourmind podcast and is hosted on 3 platforms: SoundCloud, our website and our YouTube channel! You don’t want to miss out on this spectacular season, so make sure to like and subscribe to our SoundCloud account to receive updates about when we post new episodes!
