Feel Good Friday: Fitness fun

Jennifer is working for mindyourmind as a Research Associate, she is here on a student placement from Western University in London, ON. As a future librarian she is passionate about connecting people to information and developing resources that help in times of need. Outside of work she loves reading, rugby, and watching terrible movies with her friends.

This week on Feel Good Friday we have some people who are very happy to be exercising.

The idea of Feel Good Fridays started because we believe the simple things that bring a smile to our face, are the best things. Smiling and laughing has been proven to reduce stress in our lives! When we smile or laugh it releases neurotransmitters in our brain called endorphins, which are in charge of making us happy and helping relieve stress!

This video has been doing the rounds in the office this week, it’s a collection of clips from aerobic exercise videos which, I’m guessing from the hairstyles, were made in the 1980’s. The lady leading the exercises just seems to go for it and says whatever comes to mind along the way.

It doesn’t exactly get me excited to exercise but her commentary during the exercises was bizarre enough to make me laugh. I hope this video brings a smile to your face today.
