Prime Minister's Youth Council

Scarlett has been volunteering with mindyourmind since 2012 and is now a member of the staff team. As a Psychology graduate from King's University College at Western, she is passionate about all things related to the subject and is a proud mental health advocate. She also loves playing sports, spending time outdoors in the countryside, hanging out with friends and family, and playing board games.

Are you a young person who is interested in and passionate about the issues that affect you and your fellow Canadians? Are you looking for an opportunity to engage with the larger community and take on a leadership role? Then you might want to consider applying for the next selection round of the Prime Minister’s Youth Council! Young people aged 16-24 are invited to apply for a seat on the council by October 1, 2017 for the council’s next term beginning in spring 2018. This incredible opportunity puts you in a position to collaborate with likeminded peers to provide non-partisan advice to the Prime Minister and Canadian Government regarding all kinds of issues - anything from mental health to climate change! There is financial reimbursement for your involvement and any travel and accommodation costs are also paid for. If the council feels like too big of a commitment but you still want to get involved, head over to Canada.ca to sign up for news and notifications about other ways to participate or engage! For more information on the council, you can find the FAQ here.
