Feel Good Friday: Writing on the Wall
Cole Favro has cystic fibrosis and would go to the hospital for frequent check ups. He recently turned eighteen and now receives treatment at the adult hospital. Since Cole was at the hospital frequently, he built relationships with the staff and wanted to show his gratitude. Cole had a really creative way of doing this.
I’m impressed by Cole’s willingness to ask for what he needed. It can be scary to ask for what you need. Sometimes we assume people will say no so we don’t bother asking at all. Cole’s story goes to show that it doesn’t hurt to ask! The worst people can say is no but on the flip side you might get exactly what you hope for and more!
Also this story shows us that you don’t need a lot of money to show people you care. You might not go to the lengths that Cole did but there are many of small ways to show appreciation. Don’t let you small budget limit you. A smile, a hug or a compliment can make someone’s day. Check out this link for more ideas.
The idea of Feel Good Fridays started because, we believe the simple things that bring a smile to our face, are some of the best things. Smiling and laughing has been proven to reduce stress in our lives! When we smile or laugh it releases neurotransmitters in our brain called endorphins, which are in charge of making us happy and helping to relieve stress.
