First a producer, and then an artist, Karl Wolf made international headlines with his hit song, “Africa”, a 3X platinum certified single in Canada. Today, he has 3 albums to date: “Face Behind the Face”, “Bite the Bullet”, “Nightlife”, and a fourth on the way to being released, called “Finally Free”. Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Wolf grew up in Dubai, UAE and Montreal, Canada and worked hard to get where he is today in the music industry.
Karl notes, proud of his heritage, that his song, “Yalla Habibi”, must be the first song with an Arabic title to hit the Top 40 in Canada. He says, “It makes me happy to think of Arabic kids here seeing that, and going ‘that’s the language we use at home and it’s on radio and TV.’ It can give them hope for their future in Canada as an immigrant.”
Wolf has toured with artists such as Akon, Flo Rida, T-Pain, and Sean Kingston, to name just a few. He’s enjoying being a musician and he says although he didn’t always have the support of record labels, he has a trick that works for him: “No matter what happens and no matter how stressful it is, you can cry, you can break down that day, that night, as long as the next morning, you wake up fresh and ready to go. You never carry it to the next morning. That’s been my trick”
