Rob Stewart

I was very honoured to interview marine biologist / photographer / filmmaker / conservationist, Rob Stewart for mindyourmind. Rob inspires people all over the world every day through his films, his most recent release being Revolution. This film follows up on his previous documentary Sharkwater and takes you on a journey all over the world. It shows that we as a population need to act if we want to save our Earth from ocean acidification, pollution, species loss, and many more global issues. Having seen the film I would highly recommend watching it, it really is an eye opener and shows that humans have enormous capabilities when it comes to changing the world.

I’ll be honest I was pretty star-struck when I first got on the phone with Rob. I had seen his film Sharkwater (2006) quite a few years ago and as a young shark fanatic I instantly fell in love with it. I never imagined that I would actually get to have a conversation with him. Sharkwater has forever changed my life and so has Revolution, all for the better of course. After seeing Sharkwater I knew that one day I would become a marine biologist, and it has been my dream ever since. Rob is such an insightful and positive person and he continues to inspire people, young and old, all over the world. I’d like to thank mindyourmind and Rob Stewart for giving me this unbelievable opportunity. Enjoy the interview!
