When I sit alone and cry
It feels like a hundred years pass by
Time is standing still
It always gives me a chill
A single shiver down my spine
Makes me feel frozen inside
The coolness I feel in my gut
Gives me intense pain like I’m being cut
I’d love to say I’m getting better
But I don’t believe it myself
I wish I could wrap myself in a sweater
That would warm me inside and out
Depression is an interesting thing
It makes you question “why?”
The way it makes my eyes sting
Why oh why must I always cry
I will figure all this out
This is without a doubt
But until then I continue to cry
The tears make me feel frozen inside
*This poem may seem negative but the message is that although I feel all of these things right now I will eventually get through it, as will everyone else experiencing these things. It takes time but we can do it. I wrote this poem while having a panic attack, writing down what I was feeling helped, it’s a coping method you all can try it make aid you as well*
