From Phoenix, Arizona (…or Springfield), hails the band of 5 Neds, Okilly Dokilly! These friendly neighborinos consist of Simpsons-come-to-life Head Ned, Bled Ned, Thread Ned, Red Ned, and Stead Ned, all outfitted in green sweaters, pink shirts, glasses, mustachios and diddliness.
In a competitive music scene where everyone wants to be heard, it’s hard to get noticed these days. But Okilly Dokilly is getting mounds of attention over their unique get up and are becoming an almost overnight success, all before they’ve even played their first show coming up on September 5, 2015. They are pumped to show the world what Ned Flanders is all about and people are really excited about these guys portraying the obnoxiously friendly Ned.
Although they describe their music as being “pretty aggressive and quite unfriendly”, they say they tell more jokes than practise most of the time. When it comes to tough times, Head Ned says, “…it is really nice to go out and scream into a mic occasional nights. Music has definitely helped pick me up. I turn a lot of frustration into exercise as well. Running really does a lot for your mental health.”
