Finding my new normal

It's been almost one year to the day that I got the phone call that would forever change my life. It was a cool November evening, I had just returned from a thesis meeting with my supervisor.I was feeling great, I was in my first year of graduate studies, I had my eye on a future that looked promising. And then the phone rang.It was my mom and dad, both with upsetting, and devastating news about their health. My mom found out she was diagnosed with brain aneurysms in the carotid artery.
