So we applied to a award sommittee this week (fingers crossed!) and I ended up creating a list of the different kind of work we've done/ are doing from March 31 2016-2017. I thought it'd be an interesting thing to share.
I am a University of Waterloo Co-op student and for the last 4 months, I have worked with mindyourmind as the Marketing and Innovation Assistant. Specifically, I was part of a lot of the promotion for our upcoming project, Be Change.
This weekend I co-facilitated a Be Safe Design Studio with our co-op student, Rachel. It was her first studio, and our first using Google Hangouts. Using a new piece of technology is always a bit of a guessing game, but this was a great option.
Today I spent the day at mindyourmind. I'm in Grade 9 and this was my placement for today. It was fun! My first job was to look through the website and I checked out the games. They are different but all very fun!
This is an exciting time of year at mindyourmind. Students are back in school, our design work is back in full swing and our partners are excited to work with youth in new, innovative ways before year end.
